I try to have a soap for everyone. I know some people just get that tickly-itchy feeling in their nose with anything scented. Even if it is natural. Sometimes the simplier things are just a refreshing change from all the fragrances that we are bombarded by in our daily lives. In this recipe I used some of my favorite skin loving oils.
Coconut Oil: helps in treating various skin problems including psoriasis, dermatitis, eczema and other skin infections. Also helps in preventing premature aging and degenerative diseases due to its antioxidant properties.
Olive Oil: has a variety of antioxidants including Vitamin A and E. These antioxidants work really well as moisturizers. Helps remove clogged pores and dead skin cells. It helps to smoothen your skin texture and softens your skin due to its intrinsic antioxidant properties.
Palm Oil: is rich in antioxidants such as vitamin A and E. Also contains vitamins D and K, which are not present in other oils. The rich nutrient content in palm oil makes it ideal for your hair and skin. Contains natural antibacterials that fight acne bacteria.
Castor Oil: adds more lather and bubbles to soap. It also lends creaminess and moisture. Because of its composition, will act as a protective barrier to skin, as it will sit on the skin and not be easily and totally absorbed. One of castor oil's abilities is in treating acne. The ricinoleic acid in castor oil works to inhibit many viruses and bacteria that is found in acne lesions.
Sunflower Oil: it works synergistically with palm and olive oil to give a nice, rich, creamy lather that's very moisturizing. It is rich in vitamins A, D, and especially in vitamin E and essential fatty acids.
