Once upon a very long time ago, a big, interesting, fun family decided that they didn't want to buy their children plastic toys on their birthdays anymore and instead, wanted to offer them the experience of natural play things and the gift of resourceful creativity from their parents and older siblings as they crafted gifts with their hands. So, as this decision was made about a week from when their daughter was going to turn seven, the family decided to build her a natural dollhouse using sticks from their woods. Not only was it a totally beautiful and wonderful experience, crafting together, but it was a also big turning point in the family's way of life. Daddy built the cabin, while the girl's older brothers crafted the furniture and big sisters stitched people and blankets. When the girl's birthday came, and she opened the first homemade present ever constructed by this unusual family, everyone held their breath until the wrappings fell away and her little face positively lit up with joy at her gift.
And so, the first log cabin dollhouse was born. Today, it is still being played with (still just as squabbled over!) and is still in perfect, sturdy condition, despite being passed down sister to sister three times! This family has since crafted dollhouses for other little girls, and would love for the opportunity to craft one for you as well!

The base on this one measures approx. 12″ x 12″ with the dollhouse standing around 15″ tall. Left in its natural, unfinished beauty.
