Also known as Threadleaf Bluestar or Narrow Leaf Bluestar
Fine leaved plant is known for its fall foliage. Turns bright orange yellow in fall. It was perennial plant of the year in 2011 by the perennial plant association.
In the spring the nice wispy textural foliage reaches about 36″ tall and spread then the plant is covered with small little bluish flowers for about 2 weeks. Then the textural foliage takes over for the summer. In fall it starts going through beutiful color changes.
Plant in FULL Sun- may tolerate light shade. MOIST but well drained. Adapts good to a variety of soil types. Hardiness Zone 5-9
